Raymond Green, Beloved Fuel the Need Volunteer, Passed Away

The community of Fuel the Need is mourning the loss of a dedicated and selfless volunteer, Raymond Green, who sadly passed away on Saturday night following a brief battle with leukemia.

For many years, Ray was a familiar and cherished presence, faithfully delivering meals and support to those in need. His commitment was a cornerstone of the organization’s daily operations, and his efforts provided immense help and comfort to countless individuals and families.

Ray recently stepped back from his delivery route to undergo chemotherapy treatment. It is with profound sadness that we share this treatment was ultimately unsuccessful. His passing leaves a void not only in the logistical framework of Fuel the Need but, more importantly, in the hearts of all who knew him.

Raymond Green embodied the very spirit of service—quiet, consistent, and driven by genuine compassion. He asked for no recognition, yet his impact resonated deeply through every meal delivered and every life touched.

He will be profoundly missed by his colleagues, the recipients of his kindness, and the entire community he served so faithfully. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. Ray’s legacy of generosity and quiet dedication will continue to inspire Fuel the Need’s mission.
