Mary Kelly Obituary-Mary Kelly, Carrigaline Camogie Club Heartbroken To Hear Passing Of Member

Everyone at Carrigaline Camogie Club is heartbroken to hear of the passing of our dear friend and member, Mary Kelly. A void has opened in our community with the loss of Mary, a deeply valued and much-loved presence who embodied the spirit of our club.

Mary’s dedication was a gift to us all. For years, she gave so generously of her time and care as the female representative for our 2012 girls, a role she fulfilled with unwavering commitment. She never missed a game, whether officially on duty or simply as their proudest supporter. After cheering her girls to success over many seasons, Mary’s own enthusiastic and determined nature shone through when she joined our new Social Camogie team at its inception in 2024. To nobody’s surprise, she quickly mastered the skills, earning her place in our first-ever social match just weeks after starting—a testament to her vibrant spirit.

Mary was a cherished member of our club community through her children, and the wider Kelly family—Eddie, Danny, Darren, Eamonn, and Alice—have been at the heart of the club for generations. Her loss is felt profoundly by every one of us.

We extend our deepest, most heartfelt condolences to her beloved daughters, Lisa, Emma, and Sarah, to her parents, Alice and Eamonn, and to her brothers, Eddie, Danny, and Darren. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this incredibly difficult time. Mary Kelly was aged just 44.

On behalf of the entire club, we wrap our support around the Kelly family and all who knew and loved Mary. We are here for you, now and always. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
