MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Milwaukee police are actively searching for suspect(s) in connection with a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 40-year-old man last weekend. The incident occurred near the intersection of Fond du Lac and Armitage Avenues at approximately 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 4.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD), the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the case.
The victim has been identified by his grieving family as 40-year-old Tremayne (Trell) Montgomery. As the community reels from the loss, his mother has established a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral expenses and create a memorial service to honor his life.

“Tremayne was a beloved son and a friend to many,” a family spokesperson shared. “We are devastated and seeking justice while we try to give him the dignified farewell he deserves.”
